These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Choquequirao Expeditions (the “Company”) and the person or persons purchasing any tour or travel service (the “Client”).
By booking any service with the Company, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions on their own behalf and on behalf of all participants included in the booking.
All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once the Company has received the required deposit and has issued a written confirmation by email.
The Client must provide complete and accurate personal information (including full name, passport number, and travel dates) as requested in order to process reservations and permits.
Unless otherwise indicated in the specific tour information, a non‑refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, and the remaining balance must be paid within the deadline communicated by the Company.
Any request to change or cancel a booking must be made in writing by the Client and confirmed in writing by the Company.
Changes to dates, routes, or passenger names may be subject to availability, supplier conditions, and additional fees, and in some cases may not be permitted.
If the Client cancels a confirmed booking, cancellation charges will apply according to the timeline and percentages communicated by the Company and by the specific providers involved (e.g. train, airline, hotels).
The Company reserves the right to modify itineraries, departure dates, or services when necessary due to force majeure, safety reasons, government regulations, weather conditions, strikes, or events beyond the Company’s control.
In the event that a significant change is required before departure, the Company will inform the Client as soon as reasonably possible and will offer alternative arrangements of equal or similar value where available.
If the tour must be canceled by the Company before departure and no acceptable alternative is offered, the Client will be entitled to a refund of payments made to the Company, excluding any non‑refundable third‑party costs.
Tour prices are quoted in the currency indicated on the website or in the proposal sent to the Client and are based on current costs for transportation, accommodation, entrance fees, and local services.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices generally include the services listed in the detailed itinerary (for example: transfers, accommodation, meals, guided tours, entrance tickets, and support staff during treks).
Prices do not usually include personal expenses, travel insurance, international or domestic flights not specified in the itinerary, tips, or any services not clearly mentioned as included.
The Client is responsible for reviewing all travel documentation issued by the Company and for informing the Company promptly of any errors or discrepancies.
The Client must comply with local laws, environmental regulations, and the reasonable instructions of guides and representatives during the trip, particularly in protected natural and archaeological areas.
The Client is responsible for being in suitable physical and mental condition to participate in the chosen activities and must inform the Company of any existing medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements before confirming the booking.
It is the sole responsibility of the Client to ensure that they have a valid passport, required visas, and any necessary vaccinations or health certificates for entry into Peru and for participation in the tour.
The Company is not responsible if the Client is refused entry into any country or destination due to incomplete or incorrect travel documentation.
The Company strongly recommends that all Clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation or interruption, baggage loss or delay, emergency medical expenses, and evacuation.
It is the Client’s responsibility to verify that their insurance policy is adequate for the activities included in their itinerary, such as high‑altitude trekking or adventure sports.
The Company acts, when applicable, as an intermediary between the Client and independent providers of services such as hotels, transportation companies, airlines, and other local operators.
While the Company takes reasonable care in selecting these providers, it does not control and cannot be held responsible for acts or omissions of third parties, nor for events such as delays, cancellations, accidents, loss of personal belongings, or other circumstances beyond its direct control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s liability is limited to the amount paid to the Company for the portion of the services actually affected.
If the Client has a complaint during the trip, they must notify the Company’s representative or local guide as soon as possible so that reasonable efforts can be made to resolve the issue on the spot.
Any complaint that is not resolved during the trip must be submitted in writing to the Company within a reasonable period after the end of the services.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Peru, without regard to conflict‑of‑law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or related to the services provided by the Company shall be submitted to the competent courts in the city of Cusco, Peru, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection regulations.
